Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell is an independent firm of chartered surveyors and commercial & industrial property consultants, having considerable market knowledge and awareness in all aspects of the commercial market along the south coast, particularly the M27 corridor and surrounding conurbations.
The three directors each have specialised knowledge within the professional, agency and development sectors. This includes management, to incorporate industrial/warehousing, offices, retail, investments and development.

Stuart Mitchell qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1990 having worked in the Portsmouth area since 1985; he now lives in the Petersfield area and covers most of South East Hampshire. He specialises in a cross section of work including Bank & Asset Valuations, Landlord & Tenant matters, Asset Management and most aspects of Agency including development & investment.
Tom Holloway joined the company in late 1999. Having been born and bred on the south coast this has provided him a thorough understanding of the regional market place. He lives in Winchester which enables access to the whole of the central southern region. He looks after all sectors of commercial agency and investment across this region and has acted for many clients ranging from local investors through to corporate organisations as well as providing professional advise on rent reviews and Asset valuation.
Peter is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer and lives in Fareham having joined Holloway Iliffe and Mitchell in 2014. He has most recently been involved in all aspects of Commercial Valuation for a variety of primary and secondary lenders, private clients and pension funds across the south of England. Previously he worked in the residential valuation sector in London before returning to the south coast. His new role will see him involved in all aspects of Commercial Property, including valuation, management and lease advisory.
Geoff Springthorpe started work in the property industry in 1984 and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1987. He has lived and worked in Portsmouth continuously since 1990 and currently specialises in Commercial Property Management. He has previous experience in Agency, Valuation, Survey and all aspects of Landlord & Tenant work.
Hamish MacAlister joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in 2018 as a commercial management surveyor. He lives in the New Forest area. Hamish studied for an MSc in Real Estate. He has worked in the property industry since 2010, managing a diverse commercial portfolio building a detailed knowledge of all aspects of Landlord & Tenant work, Asset Management and Development.
Simon Hake joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in 2018 as a Commercial Agency Surveyor. He studied for a BSc (Hons) in property development at Portsmouth University, is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer. Having worked in the property industry since 2007, he has significant agency experience in office, industrial and retail sectors. Furthermore he specialises in development consultancy and professional work. Simon lives in the Winchester area and covers the M27, M3 and A3 corridors
Sophie Mitchell joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in 2018 as a trainee surveyor with a view of assisting in all aspects of agency work and ultimately managing her own client base. In addition she is involved in other sectors of the business such as Asset Management, Valuation and Landlord & Tenant matters to include rent reviews and lease renewals. Sophie lives locally and is currently studying for her RICS qualifications. She covers all aspects of professional work in Portsmouth, Petersfield, Fareham and the M27 corridor.
Derek Holloway is a retired Chartered Surveyor and lives in Southampton. He has many years experience in the commercial sector particularly along the M27 corridor including Portsmouth and Southampton. He is responsible for sales and lettings together with rent reviews and valuations within the industrial and office markets as well as providing general development and investment advice.
