We have just acquired an office on behalf of clients, Parish Properties Ltd trading as Fine & Country (Homes), who have opened a new residential (property consultancy) estate agent in the area at Havant Road, Drayton.
The new office is trading under the name of Fine & Country, a well known and respected national name offering residential agency to a wide area in Portsmouth, Southern Hampshire & West Sussex.
The office is run by Colin Shairp, the business owner, who has a broad range of residential agency experience in the Portsmouth region and is excited about the new business. He comments: “Even though it may appear that the residential market is stagnant, since opening, we have received instructions on a number of exclusive properties and seen deals go into solicitors’ hands too.”
He continued: “In recent times, Portsmouth has gone through a radical transformation in business terms and this is preventing the wider economic downturn from hitting the city as badly as other regions.”
Stuart Mitchell, director of Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell was approached by Colin to acquire a prominent office on their behalf, the first of many as Colin is planning more office openings in the area shortly.
Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell identified an opportunity at 141 Havant Road, Drayton as the previous tenant went into receivership and Stuart Mitchell agreed an “off market” transaction with the landlord.
Stuart believes that this deal shows great confidence, despite national headlines that undermine this belief. He comments: “The deal places confidence in the market and obviously in the ability of Colin Shairp and his team.”
Parish Properties Ltd took a new 5 year full repairing and insuring lease on the property where the rent payable is £15,000 per annum, exclusive. The business is shortly due to open another office trading as Fine & Country Homes in Southsea in early Summer.
