Open Storage In Fareham

Open Storage In Fareham

22 April 2009

Open storage for commercial business is highly priced and rarely available, yet we have a ready supply that local and national occupiers have been taking space at for some while and despite a weaker market, enquiry levels remain strong.

The former Pinks sawmill site lying just north of Junction 10 of the M27, not far from Fareham is home to a variety of businesses including Balfour Beatty and other occupiers ranging from plant hire to storage of cars and skips.

The most recent letting we have concluded is to Zebra Waste, a company which hires skips on site.  The company took a 3 year lease for a sum close to the quoting rent.

Director, Stuart Mitchell believes the success of the site is not only the location, but the flexibility of terms.   “We are able to offer very good deals to tenants and the most recent transactions done on site reflect this as there is now only one yard area of 0.78 acres remaining to let.”

Immediately opposite the open storage of Pinks Sawmill lies Dean Estate, again, popular with tenants, this estate is also owned by the same client but offers tenants a variety of storage units and offices, perhaps the most attractive being a fully refurbished original oak frame barn fitted as offices.

Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell has let a number of agricultural barns, but Stuart sees this particular example as very unusual.
